Project Description

HDO Blood Pressure Monitor

HDO is considered the gold standard for measuring blood pressure in awake animals. Additionally, as a non-invasive method, it’s the only one that meets the guidelines of ACVIM (American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine). Compared to the classic oscillometric method or Doppler system, it measures oscillations up to 16,000 Hz (oscillometer 50Hz, Doppler 200Hz), while its HDO technology is 80x more sensitive than the human ear.
A special advantage of HDO equipment is its display of pulse waves, which enables checking the reliability of measurements, detection of arrhythmias, vasoconstrictions, vasodilators, and systemic vascular resistance, while its software also allows for adjustment of settings according to the patient’s clinical condition.
HDO provides an easy, fast and less stressful way of measuring:
◦ SAP (systolic pressure);
◦ DAP (diastolic pressure);
◦ HR (heart rate);
◦ MAP (mean arterial pressure);
◦ PWA (pulse wave analysis);
◦ artifacts, measurement errors;
◦ heart rate and arrhythmia control;
◦ SV (stroke volume);
◦ SVV (Stroke Volume Variances);
◦ CO (cardiac output);
◦ SVR (systemic vascular resistance).
